Azerbaijan sees nearly twofold rise in state budget spending since 2020
In 2024, Azerbaijan executed 94.9% of its approved state budget expenditures, totaling 37.7 billion manat ($22.1 billion), a 3.4% increase from 2023. Current expenditures accounted for 56.6% of the budget, with 90.1% of these covered by non-oil and gas sector revenues. Over the past five years, state budget spending grew by 42.8% compared to 2020.
