Exclusive briefing with the incoming Danish Presidency of the Council of the EU

With Denmark set to take the helm of the Council of the EU on July 1, journalists are eager to learn what priorities the country will focus on in Brussels during its six-month term.

Correspondents from the European Newsroom’s member agencies had an exclusive opportunity to speak to a team of spokespersons and press officers from the Permanent Representation of Denmark to the EU, including Spokesperson Fabrice Jacobsen and Press Advisor Mikkel Sebastian Lassen (Coreper II).

Journalists had the chance to ask questions about a range of topics such as security and defence, competitiveness, migration, and enlargement, gaining first-hand insights to Denmark’s plans for the months to come.

The briefing was attended by 19 journalists from across the continent – from Portugal to Slovenia and even EU-candidate countries North Macedonia and Ukraine.
