Ihsanullah joins Peshawar Zalmi for PSL 10

On Friday, former Pakistan Super League (PSL) winners Peshawar Zalmi chose right-arm bowler Ihsanullah for the forthcoming 10th season. Rising to prominence during a ground-breaking season in the PSL 2023, Ihsanuallah bagged 22 wickets for the Sultans.

But an elbow injury he got during the home ODI series against New Zealand in April 2023 hindered his explosive climb, so missed the last year’s PSL. He returned to competitive cricket later that year during the Champions T20 Cup, picking two wickets in four games.

That was insufficient, though, for him to draw the PSL teams, and he went unsold in the PSL 10 draft, earlier this year. The right-arm pacer thus declared his PSL retirement just to change his mind the next day.

The 2017 champions in the Supplementary category have roped in the right-arm pacer in line with most recent developments. The franchise announced on its social media channels with an animated poster of the pacer sporting Zalmi’s shirt.

“Right Arm Fast Bowler Ihsanullah joins the [yellow storm] in supplementary category for [PSL X],” Zalmi captioned the poster.

For the uninitiated, Zalmi will start their PSL 10 campaign against old rivals Quetta Gladiators on April 12 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
