Luxembourg-based childcare management platform Kidola raises €1.3 million to expand into France

Kidola, an all-in-one childcare management platform, announced the closing of a €1.3 million Seed round to support product development, team growth, and the company’s expansion into the French market.

The Seed Round was led by Expon Capital, a Luxembourg-based venture capital firm, including contributions from Super Capital and the LBAN – Luxembourg Business Angel Network.

“We created Kidola because we saw a real need for simplification—not in how children are cared for or educated, but in the system that supports them,” said Quentin de Madre, CEO and Co-founder. “Our goal is to help professionals and parents spend as little time as possible on Kidola, so they can focus on what really matters.”

Founded in 2019 by Jonathan Kindermans, Quentin de Madre, and Simon Lelorrain, Kidola looks to centralise all essential childcare management functions into a single, intuitive platform.

Kidola was born out of personal experience: all three Founders became parents around the same time. Like many new parents, they made an all too common mistake and forgot to notify upcoming absences or request extended hours—small oversights with a big impact. Realising that these daily challenges affected not only parents but also educators and administrators, they set out to build a solution that would simplify operations for everyone involved.

The company argues that as parental expectations for flexibility rise, and as governments introduce stricter regulations and reporting standards, administrative complexity for childcare centres continues to grow. Without robust digital tools, these pressures risk overwhelming even the most experienced teams.

Already trusted by over 30,000 caregivers across Luxembourg, France, and Belgium, Kidola offers a complete suite of tools—from parent communication and attendance tracking to invoicing and regulatory compliance— without requiring extensive training.

With this new funding, Kidola will expand its team, enhance its analytics and reporting capabilities, and deepen its presence in France.​
