On Monday, the first-ever EU-Palestine political dialogue

On Monday in Luxembourg, on the sidelines of the meeting of EU foreign ministers, the first high-level political dialogue in history between the European Union and Palestine will take place. It will be attended by, among others, the head of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski.

The meeting will focus on the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip; participants will also discuss the prospects for achieving a two-state solution between Israel and Palestine.

The meeting will be led by the head of EU diplomacy Kaja Kallas. Among the participants will be the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Palestinian Authority Mohammad Mustafa.

Regarding political issues, the EU and the Palestinian Authority will exchange views on the conflict in the Gaza Strip, the situation in the West Bank, and Israeli-Palestinian relations. Participants will also discuss the prospects for achieving a two-state solution between Israel and Palestine.

The attendees will also discuss the issue of EU-Palestine bilateral relations, including planned reforms of the Palestinian Authority and potential EU support for this initiative.

This is the first political-level meeting between the two sides to date.
