Target is a magical place, and I’m not immune to its powers. Even though I always go into the store with a particular purpose, I typically find myself aimlessly floating through the aisles, sucked into the allure of the Target-brand products, especially food sold under the Good & Gather label.

I’ll admit that I’m drawn to the aesthetic logo (I don’t know if it’s the modern font or the ampersand), but that’s not what keeps me coming back. The line always seems to carry products that solve my grocery needs, sold at a cheaper price than name-brand equivalents.

My Favorite Target Snack

One of my recurring grocery needs is finding on-the-go snacks that strike a balance between tasty, filling, and affordable. If I’m away from home in between meals and find myself needing a snack, I either have to go hungry or rush into a store to quickly grab something that’s going to be more expensive than if I had planned ahead (like CVS granola bars that cost $2 a piece). If I already have a satisfying snack on hand, the issue is prevented.

That’s why I was happy when I was wandering through Target one day and stumbled upon Good & Gather Peanut Butter Sandwich Crackers, Target’s salty butter crackers sandwiched with a thin layer of sweet peanut butter.

How I Enjoy Target’s Peanut Butter Crackers

The packages are easy to break open in public, and the crackers have both carbs and a small amount of protein, which helps keep me going when I need a little boost. The entire box is $2.79, which includes 8eight packets of crackers, with 6six sandwich crackers per packet. My Target stocks them next to Ritz’s peanut butter crackers, which are more than double the price.

Since the crackers are non-perishable, you can easily pack them in your bag the night before work, school, or a day out. Or, you can quickly pop one in your bag right before you leave the house like I do.

To turn the crackers into a more substantial snack, I recommend pairing them with an apple, either whole or cut into slices. Apple with peanut butter is a classic combo, and the juicy apple balances out the dry crackers.  They’re also a great addition to a kid’s lunchbox. If you’re like me, you’ll be stocking up soon!
