The Youth Guarantee Pilot, the EU program in Albania for the integration of young people into the labor market

The EU4Youth project Steering Committee held its second meeting under the leadership of the Albanian Deputy Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation, Olta Manjani, and the representative of the European Union delegation in Albania, Miha Pezelj.

The meeting gathered key partners to discuss the progress of the Youth Guarantee pilot as well as the implementation of “EU4Youth”.

The Youth Guarantee is the EU’s most important program for integrating young people into the labor market.

This program aims for every young person in Albania to receive a quality job, education, or vocational training offer within 4 months of registering at the Employment Offices.

About 2000 young people from Tirana, Shkodra, and Vlora have been supported so far with a job, education, or training offer through the Youth Guarantee scheme, implemented by AKPA, with the support of the EU4Youth project.

Funded by the EU and implemented by UNDP and UNICEF Albania, the EU4Youth project supports the implementation of the program in three municipalities: Tirana, Shkodra, and Vlorë. (July 17)
